Andre and Yassi

Last week, even before day would come, I already decided to attend the 36th Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) with my college friends. But because of what happened just yesterday, my savings were all gone, I got hesitant with my decision. Plus, we also have NSTP today. But because I really want to come to the event, I called my Mom.

At first, I cannot tell her the real reason. I just told her I have no more money. Then when they transferred me some money, I pushed through to our plan. So after our NSTP, we all hurriedly went to the venue. It took us about three (3) hours to get there. Much easiest and fastest way from our school.

HOW TO GET TO MOA FROM PUP MANILA

  1. Road Jeep with "Boni" sign. Alight to its last destination.
  2. Walk until you see the main road — EDSA.
  3. Ride a bus with "MOA" sign.
  4. There you go, you will already found yourself at the venue!

MOA

To be honest, it was already 8 to 9 years ago from the last time I went here in MOA because it was so far from our province. It took us roughly 4-6 hours to get here. But because I am already living in Manila, I won't miss this once-in-a-lifetime-chance even I am already running out of money. Lol.

We got in the place earlier that we expected so we first headed to Chowking. Since it was my first-time (again) after roughly 9 years, I was so shocked to see how populated the location was. All lines from the counters are just super long that it took us an hour to get served for our foods. After the short break, we now headed to main venue:

MIBF

Since we are student and we brought our IDs, they discounted us for the entrance fee!

Well, as first-timer in MIBF, after going in, we don't know where we are going to go as the venue were filled with people and booths all over the place —you can see Pop Fiction, VIVA PSCOM, National Bookstore, Fully Booked booths and more.

We passed by the Pop Fiction both 'coz we overheard that the main cast for Girl Friend For Hire The Movie will have a book signing event. Sadly, I cannot buy the book at that moment because I was lack of money, so I just patiently watched them while I tiptoe from the side.

On our way home, luckily, we bumped into the phenomenal author of Para sa Hopeless Romantic, Marcelo Santos III outside the event. "Kilala mo 'yon?" [You know that guy?] My college friends asked. I answered them hesitantly but quite surprised, "SI MARCELO SANTOS BA IYON?!"

We were right! It was really him.

There were alot of people who asked for selfies. We found ourselves asking for it too. Unashamedly, I walked towards him and asked "Papicture po." [Can we take photo?] For a moment, I forgot that I am shy person, and I hold my phone to take our selfie. We was so kind that he even lowered himself for us because I am too short from his height.

EPIC MOMENT

I was surprised that from my first selfie with him, I found my college friends at the back. I forgot to tell that the first photo was just for the both of us because I was shaking that time and in panic. Lol. So on the second photo, I tried to let them join the selfie.

Marcelo Santos III

Gosh! To be honest, I never expected Marcelo to attractive. Well, that time he was heading to VIVA PSCOM booth for his book signing event.

Although I felt regretful that we don't have selfie for the both of  us only, still I was able to get a selfie for free from him that doesn't require us to buy ticket or book just to take photo with him! Lol.
